John Thomas Evans (Jack) born 16 November 1893 died 6 January 1963 aged 70. Jack spent all his working life at the Aldwarke Main Colliery and his out of work time at Rawmarsh Cricket Club. He married Elizabeth Barker (born 28 November 1895, died 19 January 1952 aged 57) and they had three girls - Hilda, Phyllis and Beatrice.
