Mary Severn b 12 June 1877 married John Thomas Dean, John was a miner then became a beerhouse keeper - the manager at the Ship Inn, Mexborough. He was born about 1863 in Brighthouse, Yorks, d 1937. He had previously been married to Julia Ann Frederick and had 2 daughters:

n 1901 John's sister Mary Dean was living with them, so was William Henry Severn, his brother-in-law.
